Indoor Negative Pressure Waterproofing & Moisture-proofing Construction Process

Basic Process for Concrete Substrate

Villa Basement / Underground Garage / Elevator Shaft / Waterproofing and Moisture-proofing

1.Grind the concrete surface

2.Apply waterproofing primer

3. Apply indoor waterproofing topcoat

New Wall Treatment
  1. New concrete requires proper curing until fully dry and whitish, then grind the surface to remove floating slurry and loose materials to ensure the surface is solid and does not crumble.

  2. Ensure the surface is free of visible water, oil stains, and release agents.

  3. Fill larger holes on the surface with cement mortar, and if there is structural damage, reinforcement and repair must be done first.

Decorative Wall Treatment
  1. If there is a putty layer or other decorative material on the wall, first remove the putty and other decorative layers.

  2. After removing the decorative layers, grind the cement base, repair larger holes or cracks, and if structural reinforcement is needed, repair the structure first. The repaired base should be level.

Apply Special Primer
  1. After preparing the base, proceed with the waterproofing layer construction.

  2. The penetrating waterproofing primer is a complementary product to the topcoat, but it can also be used as a base reinforcement agent on its own.

  3. Its function is to reinforce the concrete base, quickly penetrate the surface to seal fine pores and micro-cracks, solidify the surface as one, enhance the base's surface strength, and improve adhesion with the waterproofing topcoat. It can resist part of the water pressure in a negative pressure waterproof environment.

  4. Mix the two components in a 3:1 ratio as per the instructions and stir thoroughly.

  5. The working time for the mixed paint is about 15 minutes (at room temperature 23°). The higher the temperature, the shorter the working time and faster the curing.

  6. After application, check to ensure the primer fully covers the base. Pay attention to cracks and pits.

Apply Indoor Negative Pressure Waterproofing Coating
  1. Elastic epoxy negative pressure waterproofing coating is a key material in indoor waterproofing and moisture-proofing projects, made from modified epoxy resin.

  2. It has an extension rate of over 100% and adhesion strength exceeding 2.5 MPa. When combined with the special primer, it can achieve a tensile adhesive strength of up to 3.0 MPa.

  3. Applied to the concrete surface, it can maintain layer adhesion and prevent bubbling under high water pressure in negative pressure conditions, providing long-lasting waterproofing and moisture-proofing.

  4. Mix the two components in a 1:1 ratio, stir evenly, and apply using a roller or brush.

  5. The working time for the mixed paint is about 20 minutes (at room temperature 23°).

  6. The higher the temperature, the shorter the working time and faster the curing.

  7. It is recommended to apply two coats, with an 8-hour interval in between, for a total thickness of 0.8 mm to 1.0 mm.

  8. After each coat, check for missed spots.
